John Schneider, 80 died Wednesday at Calumet Memorial Hospital, Chilton. A son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Michael Schneider, he was born in the town of Stockbridge, Calumet County, Jan. 14, 1877. He had farmed in the town of Chilton until 11 years ago when he retired and moved to Chilton. He married the former Paulina Preissner, April 19, 1904 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, Kloten. She died April 9, 1956.
Surviving are one daughter, Miss Eleanore at home; two brothers, Joseph of Forest Junction and Emanuel of Cadilias, Mich., two sisters, Mrs. John Hoerth of Chilton and Mrs. Herbert Baurichter, Watertown, Wis., and a half-sister, Mrs. Louisa Neuber of Milwaukee. He was preceded in death by five brothers.
