Samuel Kilgore, 61, of Route 1, died Thursday. He was the owner and operator of Flat Hollow Dock, a Shriner, and honorary Kentucky Colonel.
Survivors are: wife, Geneva Napier Kilgore; daughter, Mrs. Harold Corder, Somerset, Ky.; sons, J.B., Robert, and Eugene, Dayton, Ohio, Daniel, Leatherwood, Ky., Winston, Oneida, Tenn., Dennis and Darrell, LaFollette; sisters, Mrs. Sylvia Wooten, Portsmouth, Ohio, Mrs. Edna Allen, Columbus, Ohio, Mrs. Pauline Blas, Detroit; brothers, Robert, Stockton, Calif., Eugene, Winchester, Ky., Warren, Cleveland, Ohio; eight grandchildren; father, Pete Kilgore, Winchester, Ky.
Funeral services were held Sunday at Cumberland Avenue Church of God with the Rev. C.B. Russell and the Rev. W.E. Wright officiating. Burial was at Campbell County Memorial Gardens. Roach Funeral Home was in charge.
