Emma Mathilda Amundson was born in Stevens County, February 15, 1884. She was married April 9, 1906 at Herman, to Albert H. Richards, who survives her. Eleven children were born to this union, of which nine are living, Bert, Raymond, Ruth, James, Margaret, Clifford, Edith, Myrtle and Pearl. Mrs. Richards is also survived by her father, Amund Amundson of Herman, and four brothers and one sister, Annie, Ludwig, Emil, Roy and Ole Amundson, all living in or near Herman.
Mrs. Richards was confirmed in the Norwegian Lutheran Church in 1900. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the house near Norcross at 1 o’clock. Rev L. A. Perkins of Herman conducted the services. Interment was in the Lakeside Cemetery east of Herman.
