Ole Larson Farmer was born May 28th, 1836, in Jevanaker, Prestgjeld, Hadeland, Norway. In 1864 he was united in marriage to the wife who survives him, and together five years later immigrated to America settling in Yellowstone where they lived the greater portion of the time on the Farmer homestead. Last March the family moved to the village of Blanchardville.
Seven children were born to this couple, five of whom have gone to the Land Beyond, before the subject of this sketch. Besides his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Christ Vinger and Mrs. Edward Vinger remain to mourn his loss, besides a host of friends. The deceased died June 7th, aged 75 years, 8 days.
The funeral was held June 9th from the Yellowstone Lutheran church and the remains laid to rest in the adjoining cemetery, Rev. P.J. Johnson officiating.
