"Dies at Madison
Mrs. Peter Statz, of Madison, who formerly resided here, died Wednesday night of last week after a few hours' sickness.
Mrs. Statz, formerly Eva Esser, was born in Berry township, near Martindale, Wis., May 12, 1860. In 1888 she was united in marriage with Peter Statz. Six children were born, all of whom survive. They are Frank A. Statz, Joseph Statz, Ferdinand Statz, Mrs. Elmer Reese and Matthew Statz, all of Madison, and Peter Statz, Milwaukee. Mr. Statz died 23 years ago.
Funeral services were held Saturday morning at 9 o'clock from Holy Redeemer church, with Rev. E. J. Meyer officiating. Interment was in Holy Cross cemetery."
