Edward was the son of William Boyle and Mary Esther Stout. He married Maria Vought on 9 March 1892 in Delana township, Humboldt county, Iowa. They were the parents of Ora, Glenn, Roscoe, Lloyd, and Floyd.


Oct 27, 1933 - Humboldt Republican - Sam Boyle of Frazee, Minn., spent Saturday night at the Peter J. Erpelding home. He returned to his home Sunday. Mr. Boyle had come to attend the funeral of his brother Edward who was buried in the Union cemetery at Livermore last Friday.

Oct 27, 1933 - Bode Bugle - Edward Boyle, a former well
known resident of Livermore, died at his home in Charles City Monday, October 16th. Funeral services were held in Charles City on Thursday, with interment in the Union cemetery at Livermore, Friday afternoon at two o'clock.

Mr. Boyle was seventy years old at the time of his death. His wife was Marie Vought of Livermore, eldest sister of Valentine V. Vought, now of Livermore.
