William E. Clark

William E. Clark, age 65, of Minerva and formerly of Carrolton, died Saturday, February 12, 2005 in his home following a short illness.

He was born September 30, 1939 in East Palestine to Eugene and Marcella (Bush) Clark.

He retired in 2003 from a lifetime in the grocery business having been manager of the Thorne's IGA in Carrolton, Super Duper and Kishman's IGA in Carrolton. International Supermarket Manager Award in 2001 and the National Grocers Assoc. Spirit Award in 1982.

He graduated from Minerva in 1957 and was a member of the Carrolton Rotary Club, and the Chamber of Commerce. He is a current member of the Perry Christian Church in Canton and a former longtime member of the Minerva First Christian Church where he was a former Sunday School teacher and had served on the board as a deacon for many years.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Donna (Marteney) Clark ho died in 2000.

He is survived by a daughter, Karla and Tim Reynolds of Minerva; a son, Bradley and Tami Clark of Canton; two brothers, Lynn and Susan Clark of Jeffersonville, IN, Gary and Deloris Clark of Alliance; five grandchildren, Sherman, Erica and Jerry Reynolds, Emma and Fletcher Clark.

Funeral services will be 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Perry Christian Church with Mr. Doug Simpson officiating. Calling hours will be Monday 5-9 p.m. in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva and one hour prior to services at the church. burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery.
