"Roofie" was the name we called Mary.
I grew up around the corner from Mary and Louis Roof and have very fond memories of "Roofie"
I was a young girl that loved to listen her to wonderful stories on the porch of her california spanish style home. Roofie gave me my first knitting lesson and invited me to "tea". She would set out her fine china for tea, my teacup had apple juice, and homemade cookies.
