Mrs. Ella Simpson Stewart, of Libertytown, died at the home of her sister, Mrs. Raymond Cashour, that place, Tuesday morning at 4 o'clock. She was aged 77 years, five months and 24 days.

The deceased has been bedridden since July 30 when she was struck by an automobile in Libertytown as she crossed the street. Witnesses said that automobiles were traveling about fifteen feet apart and that Mrs. Steward stepped out onto the road without looking in either direction. No charges were preferred against Edward F. Miller, Baltimore, driver of the car.

Mrs. Steward had been treated at the Frederick City Hospital since that time for a fracture of her left leg and paralysis which followed. On October 22 she was removed to Mrs. Cashour's home where she remained until her death.

She was the daughter of the late Dr. Thomas W. Simpson and Mittie Maynard Simpson. Mrs. Stewart was a member of the Methodist Protestant church of Libertytown.

Among the survivors are the following step-children: Mrs. Lottie J. Barger, Mrs. Claire B. Myers, Wilbur C. and Leroy H. Stewart, Brunswick; Alonzo C. and Brooks Stewart, Washington, D.C. She is also survived by two sisters and two brothers, Mrs. James Sappington and Mrs. Raymond Cashour, F. Loraine Simpson, and Roland Reginald Simpson, all of Libertytown.

Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 11 o'clock at the home of Mrs. Cashour. Rev. John P. Daniel, Brunswick, will officiate. Interment in Park Heights cemetery, Brunswick. C.H. Feete and Son, funeral directors.
