Alvin Willard Larrabee, son of Sophronia Jane and John D. Larrabee, died at the home of his aunt, Mrs. L. Craig, Tuesday, October 20, after suffering for over a year from asthma and heart trouble. His body was taken to Janesville, Minnesota, for burial in the family lot. Born at Minnesota Lake, he spent most of his early life near Alma City, Minnesota. He later moved to northern Minnesota where he spent most of his adult years as a storekeeper and farmer. In 1887 he married Emma Goodwin of Mankato. Two children where born to the couple, a son, Guy Willard, and a daughter, Mabel Lula Larrabee Balder. His son died young and his wife died in 1911.

Mr. Larrabee was a member of the Christian church, a man of kind and gentle disposition, patient and uncomplaing in illness.

Those remaining to mourn his departing are his daughter, Mrs. Mabel Balder of Fromberg, Montana; also three sisters, Mrs. M. J. Baldwin, Washaugal, Washington; Mrs. Ella Simpkins, Blue Earth, Minnesota; Mrs. John Fields, St. Clair, Minnesota; and two brothers, Frank of West Palm Beach Florida, and Will who resides in Blue Earth.

Funeral services were held at the Burke funeral home with Rev. Albert Husted reading the service.
