Obituary: Peterson - Winifred "Winnie" L Peterson, 86, 1103 20th St., (Rockford) died at 11 p.m. Saturday, June 22, 1985, in Alma Nelson Manor after a long illness. Born Jan 30, 1899, in Rockford, daughter of James and Mary (Prentice) Parnell. Lifelong Rockford resident.

Married George E Peterson in Peoria, June 4, 1920. She was a homemaker. Religion: Lutheran

Survivors include a son, Verne G Peterson, Lakewood Calif., a daughter, Mrs Arlene (Charles) Kenning, Garden Grove, Calif., six grandchildren, Rod Peterson, Rockford, Gregg Peterson, Mrs Gail (Gene) Vanis, Mrs Debbie (Samuel) Logston, Steve and Brad Kenning, all in California; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her husband in 1969, two brothers, three half brothers and three half sisters.
