Wife's Name: Puella (sometimes called "Priscilla") Hussey
Puella in Latin, means "girl".

Puella Hussey,daughter of Stephen Hussey and Martha Bunker Hussey, was born 10th Day,10th Month,1677,probably at Sherburne.

Shubael and Puella are My 8th Great GrandFather and GrandMother on my Maternal side.

Shubael, Born 21 October 1667 to John Gorham and Desire Howland in Barnstable,Barnstable,Massachusetts.

When his Father died,Shubael was given an extra share of money from his father's estate to receive an education in a "Learned Profession", but chose instead to become a house carpenter,and later on built a tavern in Barnstable,Massachusetts.

Shubael was a minor when his father,John Gorham died,and John's brother, James was chosen as his guardian.

Shubael Gorham and Puella Hussey were married in May 1695.

But, as Shubael,his family,and his friends were sailing on their way to the wedding in Nantucket,Massachusetts they were taken prisoner and robbed by a French shallop.

The "will" that Shubael had was dated 23 September 1748. And on 7 August 1750 the "will" was proved.

Towards the end of Shubael's life he was judged to, not be of sound mind and his son-in-law James Lovell,Jr. was appointed as his legal guardian on 8 July 1749.
