LINCOLNTON ~ Mr. Charles "Butch" Edward Schronce, 65, of Asbury Church Road in Lincolnton, passed away Saturday, Sept. 26, 2009. His funeral will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2009, in the Warlick Funeral Home chapel, with the Rev. Jeff Hull officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Mr. Schronce was born Jan. 1, 1944, in Lincoln County the son of the late Bud and Verta Lee Champion Schronce. He was a supervisor with La-Z-Boy before retiring.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Hubbard Schronce of the home; one daughter, Tonya Lynn Schronce Pope and husband, Travis, of Charlotte; one brother, Jerry Lester Schronce and wife, Barbara, of Marion; two sisters, Helen Schronce Helms and husband, Edward, of Lincolnton and Linda Schronce Chaney and husband, Rod, of Cherryville; and his Boston Terrier, Riley. Mr. Schronce was affectionately known as the "Fan Man" for the East Lincoln Band Boosters.
Warlick Funeral Home of Lincolnton is serving the Schronce family.
