Mr. Schronce was born Jan. 1, 1944, in Lincoln County the son of the late Bud and Verta Lee Champion Schronce. He was a supervisor with La-Z-Boy before retiring.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Hubbard Schronce of the home; one daughter, Tonya Lynn Schronce Pope and husband, Travis, of Charlotte; one brother, Jerry Lester Schronce and wife, Barbara, of Marion; two sisters, Helen Schronce Helms and husband, Edward, of Lincolnton and Linda Schronce Chaney and husband, Rod, of Cherryville; and his Boston Terrier, Riley. Mr. Schronce was affectionately known as the "Fan Man" for the East Lincoln Band Boosters.
Warlick Funeral Home of Lincolnton is serving the Schronce family.
