On Thursday, December 13, 2012, JAMES McNARY BOGART, CDR SC USN (Ret.) at his residence in North Potomac, Maryland. Beloved husband of Deanna Leifeld Bogart, his wife of 35 years; loving father of Stacey Ann Cuautle, Mary Paige Shlater, Katherine Marie Lennon, James Leifeld Bogart and Elizabeth Bogart Garcia. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, his uncle, George McNary and sister, Martha Jane Bohn, both of Sarasota, FL. Born July 20, 1946 to the late James Jackson Bogart and Mary McNary Bogart. In addition to his tours aboard the USS Parsons (DDG-33) and USS Claude V. Ricketts (DDG-5) Commander Bogart served at Naval Stations, Washington, DC, Great Lakes, IL, Agana, Guam, San Diego and Oakland, CA. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Raphael Church, 1513 Dunster Road, Rockville, MD 20854 on Wednesday, January 30, 2012 at 1 p.m. Inurnment private at Arlington National Cemetery.
