Robert Lee Breakiron, Sr. 86 of Brazoria, Texas passed away on Saturday, January 19, 2013. He was born January 31, 1926 in Pennsville, Pennsylvania to Branden and Jennie M. Longanecker Breakiron. He served in the United States Army-Aircorp as a B29 Tail Gunner in the WWII Pacific Theater of Operations; he flew 25 combat missions with the 314th Bomb Wing, 39th Bomb Group, 60th Squadron. He was the last surviving member of his Air Crew 8. After the war he moved to Houston. He retired from the Houston Post Office in 1982 after 32 years of service and he and his wife Ann moved permanently to Brazoria, Texas.

Burial will take place at Forest Park East Cemetery in Webster.

Robert is survived by his children, Robert L. Breakiron, Jr. of Brazoria and Byron Beasley of Houston; grandchildren, Robert Leon Breakiron of Deer Park and Jerod Lee Breakiron of Johnson City; great-grandchildren,Cody Ray Breakiron of Schofield Military Base, Honolulu, Hawaii; Kyle Dean Breakiron of Deer Park; Skylar Breakiron of Deer Park; Marina McKinney of Deer Park and Finley Breakiron of Johnson City along with a host of friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Ann Geisenhoff Breakiron; sister, Jean Gandy and brother, Gilbert Breakiron.
