Winfred Charles Kimber, age 92, died April 9, 1990 of heart failure.

He was born April 18, 1898 to Charles Kimber and Josephine Laird in Grouse Creek, Utah, where he resided all of his life.

He married Olive Tanner on November 8, 1922 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple; she preceded him in death on October 14, 1981.

They were the parents of three Children, grandfather of seventeen grandchildren and forty-seven great-grandchildren. He also has one brother and one sister. He was preceded in death by two son-in-laws, one granddaughter, seventeen brothers and sisters.

Winfred was a rancher his entire life. He also worked as a road supervisor for Western Box Elder County for twenty-five years. He loved and supported his community of Grouse Creek, his family, his innumerable friends and his church in every way. He was a High Priest in the LDS Church and had served in many positions. Winfred was a unique and wonderful man; he was a legend in his own time.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, April 13, 1990 at 1:00 p.m. in the Grouse Creek Ward Chapel. Friends may call on Thursday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Petersen Funeral Chapel, 634 East 200 South, Brigham City, and on Friday, 11:30 a.m. until the time of the services at the Grouse Creek Chapel.

Interment will be in the Grouse Creek Cemetery.
