January 7, 1976, Mrs. Roxie Norma Wood, aged 87 years, of the Mayfair Nursing Home, widow of T. George Wood, formerly of Raymond, Alberta. Born at Salt Lake City, Utah, on October 26, 1888, she was the daughter of Asahel Hart Woodruff and Naomi Butterworth, and granddaughter of Wilford Woodruff, fourth President of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. On October 10, 1913, she married Thomas George Wood in the Salt Lake Temple. In August 1925 the family moved to Raymond, Alberta, where Mr. Wood was sent by the Utah-Idaho Sugar Company to organize and manage a new industry, Canadian Sugar Factories Ltd.

Mrs. Wood is survived by four sons: Lincoln Asahel and Woodruff Wilson, both of Vancouver, B.C., David George and Stephen Hart, both of Calgary; a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Rosemarie) Slover, Provo, Utah; sixteen grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren; two brothers, Douglas and Kenneth Woodruth; two sisters, Mrs. Beulah Naylor and Mrs. Emmarose Christiansen, all of Salt Lake City.

Mrs. Wood was predeceased by her husband T. George Wood, on January 5, 1964, a son, Robert Thomas, killed in action during World War II, and a brother, A. H. Woodruff Jr., whose widow, Mrs. Ruth Murphy Woodruff lives in Salt Lake City. Services at the Raymond Alberta Stake Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Raymond, Alberta, on Saturday January 10, at 2 p.m. President James D. Bridge officiating. Interment in the family plot. Temple Hill Cemetery, Raymond. In lieu of flowers, if friends desire, donations may be made to the Raymond Public Library, Raymond, Alberta.
