B. Theo Hastings, 92, Mooresville, died January 17, 2013, in Meadow Lakes, Mooresville. Mr. Hastings was born August 3, 1920, in Rising Sun, to the late Ezra and Grace (Carpenter) Hastings.

A proud American, Theo served in the United States Navy during World War II. In his early years, he worked for Leonard Brown on the farm. He was then employed for Pierson Hollowell, Wooley Lumber, Web Veneer Company, and retired from Thiesing Veneer in 1999, at the age of 80. Theo was a faithful member of The Church at Mt. Gilead and the American Legion. He had an exceptional sense of humor that will be missed by his loving family and many friends.

Theo was preceded in death by his wife, Roberta (Gulley) Hastings; brother, Ezra Stewart Hastings.

Survivors include his son, Ronald Hastings (Patti) of Mooresville; daughter, Bonita Davis (Kenny) of Mooresville; seven grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren.

The funeral service will begin at 6 p.m., Sunday, January 20, 2013, in The Church at Mt. Gilead, 6019 E. State Road 144, Mooresville, with calling there beginning at 3 p.m. Burial will be held on Monday at 1 p.m., in Rising Sun Cemetery, Rising Sun, Indiana.
