Funeral services were conducted Saturday, Sept. 19 at the Davis Funeral home in Lynchburg for Robert e. Ayers, 57, who died unexpectedly Wednesday while working at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Dayton. Burial was in the Lynchburg Masonic Cemetery. He was the son of Lorenzo and Mary Bernard Ayers and was born Jan. 20, 1913 in Clinton County. Survivors are his wife, Dorothy Wilbanks Ayers; one son; one daughter; two brothers, John of Dayton and Donald of Fairborn and three sister, Mrs. Grace Rhoades of Yakima, Wash., Mrs. Clarice Elles and Mrs. Louise Burton of Wilmington.
