Leola Self Madsen, 80, died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2002 in Ogden.

She was born July 13, 1921 in Salt Lake City, a daughter of William A. and Ada Andrew Self. She was raised in Salt Lake City and lived in Utah all of her life.

On Feb. 19, 1948, Leola married Mack J. Madsen. She was a wonderful loving mother and friend and devoted her life to the happiness of her

family.

Surviving are three sons, Mike (Carmen), Brent, Paul (Judy); two daughters, Cindy (Dave), Maleia (Dale); 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Leola was preceded in death by her husband and one son, Dan B. Madsen, who was taken in an automobile accident in 1976.

Funeral services will be held Monday, Jan. 7th at 9 a.m. at Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. There will be no viewing, but friends and family may gather at the mortuary on Mon., one hour prior to services. Mom will be laid to rest alongside Dad and Danny in Garden City, Utah Cemetery, overlooking our beautiful Bear Lake that we all loved so much.
