Funeral services for Billie W. Bond, 61, of Route 3, Box H-67, Wapato, Washington, who died August 9 at his home, were held Tuesday, August 13 at 2 p.m. at Merritt Funeral home in Wapato, Washington. Rev. Berl Thomas officiated. Interment was at West Hills Memorial Park, Yakima.
Mr. Bond was born December 10, 1912, near Iberia, Missouri. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Bond of Iberia, Missouri. He had lived in the Wapato area for 26 years and was a retired water master fort the Wapato Irrigation Project. He had worked there for 24 years, when he retired June j9, 1973.
He is survived by his wife, Carlotta Percival Bond to whom he was married May 22, 1934. Also surviving are one son, Wayne Bond of Miami, Florida; four daughters, Mrs. Don (Carlisle) Ibatuan of Wapato, Washington, Mrs. Rex (Peggy) Miller of Bothell, Washington, Miss Cherie Bond of Seattle, Washington, and Mrs. Sam (Rhonda) Brackney of Wapato; ten grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Harvey Barr of Iberia, Missouri; two nieces, Mrs. Joyce Robinson of Brumley, Missouri and Mrs. Joyce Watkins of Iberia, Missouri; also a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
