Gary L. Anderson, 69, of Hutchinson, died Jan. 17, 2013, at Hospice House. He was born March 8, 1943, in Hutchinson, the son of Myrl D. and Mildred B. Bergen Anderson.
Gary was a 1961 graduate of Buhler High School and attended Hutchinson Junior College. He retired as a production manager at Eaton Corp. (formerly Cessna Fluid Power), after working there for 37 years. After retirement, Gary repaired vehicle windshields for Novus. He attended CrossPoint Church and was an avid golfer, playing primarily at Carey Park Golf Course. He also enjoyed making knives for friends and family.
Gary married Linda G. Lowrey on May 29, 1964, in Hutchinson. She survives. Other survivors include: a son, Eric "Ric" Anderson and his wife Chris of Las Vegas, Nev.; a grandson, Sam Anderson of Lawrence; a sister, Sue Muchow and her husband Marvin of Salina; a sister-in-law, Arline Anderson of Wichita; and many nieces and nephews. Gary was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Myrl D. "Don" Anderson; and a sister, Pat Stephens.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 21, 2013, at CrossPoint Church, formerly Westbrook Baptist Church, with Pastor Andy Addis presiding. Inurnment will be at Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson. A register book may be signed from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Elliott Mortuary.
