Alexander Bruce Chapman, Jr. was a son of Alexander Bruce Chapman & Catherine
Smith. He was married on 24 Nov 1899 at Woodstock, Carleton County, New
Brunswick by H.H. Tucker, clergyman to Carrie Elizabeth Haines.

They had children and moved to Portland, Maine about 1904. Alex died in
Portland, Maine of general peritonitis from perforated appendix aged 33. His
remains were sent to Woodstock to be buried.

His widow, Carrie Elizabeth (Haines) Chapman moved to VanBuren, Aroostook
County, Maine. Their daughter Pauline died there on 6 Oct 1916 of diptheria and
is buried in VanBuren Union Cemetery.

Carrie remarried on 24 Jun 1915 at Woodstock, NB by F.L. Orchard, clergyman, to
Joseph W. McInnes. She was living in Montreal on 27 Sep 1954 when she made a
declaration about the birth of her daughter Ida May Chapman.

I migrated into researching this family from Carrie's sister, Ida Mable Haines,
wife of James Ripley Adams buried in Evergreen Cemetery in Portland, Maine.

I start the day working on findagrave and I never know where I will end up ;)

Sincerely, Tim Cooper
