My grandmother told this to my Mother and also Cassie Odell and Lena Snow knew this and they found it back in the 1950's. Then they tried to find it again about 20 years later they couldn't because the road had changed and a lot of logging had been done.
There were only fieldstones for grave markers so we are going by what our parents and grandparents told us.
Buried there were:
George Washington Odle, Sr and his wife Nellie Brim Odle.
William Wesley Odle, son of George Washington Odle, Sr and Nellie Brim Odle.
Sarah Rea Odle and 2 babies that belonged to her and George Washington Odell, Jr.
George Washington Odell, Jr had a farm in this section of Mitchell Road. When he was married to Sarah Rea Odell, he divided this farm into 4 sections for their children William Henry Odell, John Tyler Odell, Sarah Odell and Martha Lillian Odell.
When George Washington Odell, Jr married Virginia Burgess, he brought another farm on the Old Leaksville Road and lived there the rest of his life.
