Glenn Howard ''Bromo'' Breckenridge, 78, Smithville, MO, passed away Friday, January 16, 1998, at Beverly Health and Rehab in Smithville, MO.

Cremation. The family will receive friends 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home in Gower.

Private family inurnment will be at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Smithville at a later date.

The family suggests donations to the American Diabetes Association.

Mr. Breckenridge was born on February 14, 1919, to Elmo and Nora (Dennis) Breckenridge in Smithville, MO. He graduated from Smithville High School and later attended Northwest Missouri State Teacher's College in Maryville. He entered the U.S. Air Force where he served as Captain in WWII.

After his honorable discharge he moved to Smithville, later moving to Dearborn, MI, and in 1963 he returned to Smithville where he made his home.

Bromo worked as a salesman for the Chase Candy Company and one son, John Kent Breckenridge. He is survived by Francine Martin, of the home; two daughters, Barbara Dunn, Belle Mead, NJ, and Ann McDonough, Parkville, MO; four grandchildren; and one sister, Phyllis Edwards, Smithville, MO.
