James Walter Moore, 64, of New Hill, Rt. 1, died at Mary Elizabeth Hospital February 28, 1952 after a period of declining health. For a number of years, he had served for the State Division of Weights and Measures. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge No. 40 and a member of the Edenton Street Methodist Church. Funeral services were held at the Mitchell Funeral Home with burial in Montlawn. Dr. H. P. Powell officiated.

Surviving are his wife, two daughters, two sisters, five brothers, three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
