Arthur G. Meier, 100, of Indianapolis, passed away January 15, 2013. He was born July 12, 1912 in Cedar Grove, IN, to the late Edward G. and Amalia Hofmeyer Meier. Arthur married Dorothy C. Hoff on April 18, 1942, and she preceded him in death September 5, 2005. He was employed as an electrician for both Meier Electric and Machine Co. and RCA, retiring in 1976. After retiring, he worked for Scecina Memorial High School and Little Flower Parish for 15 years. Arthur was a longtime member of Little Flower Catholic Church and a 4th Degree Knight of the K of C, Fatima #3228. Visitation will be Friday, January 18, 2013, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Shirley Brothers Drexel Chapel, 4565 E. 10th St. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at Little Flower Catholic Church, 4720 E. 13th St., Indianapolis, IN, 46201. Arthur is survived by his daughter, Donna (Edward) Selm; son, Daniel (Cyndy) Meier; grandchildren, Brian, Scott and Adam Selm, Annette Vonderheide, Jonathan and Molly Meier; great-grandchildren, Makenna, Haley, Aubrey, and one on the way; and siblings, Mary Meier, Edith Meier, Ethel Rosenberger and Frank Meier.. Memorial contributions may be made to Little Flower Catholic Church.
