Laura Gautreau Millet (Mumsie) "98" passed away on January 14, 2013 at Heritage Manor. Laura was born on March 8, 1914 at Lynnwood Plantation in Geismar, LA. She was a resident of Baton Rouge and a member of St. George Catholic Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Leon Joseph Millet, Sr.; father, Alcide "BB" Gautreau; mother, Ida "Day" Gautreau and a sister, Isabel Landry. She is survived by her children, Lonnie Millet and wife Noelie and Rhett Millet; grandchildren, Brett Millet and wife Victoria, Todd Millet, Christy Cabalero, and Brittni Jenkins; great grandchildren, Mariah Cabalero, Rhett Michael Cabalero, Jacob Millet, Collin Millet, Jordan Jenkins, Jillian and Jaxon Jenkins. Laura was a member of Anna Cotton Homemakers and a receptionist at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital for 18 years. She was known for her creative gifts of crochet, ceramics, and decorating for all the holidays especially Mardi Gras. Visitation will be held at St. George Catholic Church, Siegen Lane, on Thursday, January 17, from 9 AM until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM conducted by Father Mike. Burial in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
