The death of Fred Bloedorn takes a citizen from our community, universally liked and respected for his industry, thrift, and honesty, a man who never shirked a job and was always cheerful. For the past thirty-five years he has been one of the most faithful employees of the Western Lime & Cement Co. He served for several years as a member of the Brillion volunteer fire department. During the past summers with regular employment slack, he busied himself at Horn Park, trimming trees and cleaning up the premises. Recently he was stricken by an attack of appendicitis and taken to St. Vincent hospital, Green bay were an operation was performed but due to weakness and advanced years he was unable to withstand the strain and died last Saturday, April 4.
The deceased was born in 1871 in the town of Brillion, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Bloedorn Sr. In 1891 he was married to Miss Blanche Moyer, at Watertown, who died at 1908. In 1909 he was united in marriage to Miss Anna Jooss, who now survives him. One son, Arno, was killed in action in World War in October 1918, and the local Legion post is named in his memory.

The survivors include four sons, Gordon of Waukegan, Ill., Ebon of Manitowoc, Frederick and Hugo, at home; five daughters, Mrs. Arthur Witschouk of Chicago, Mrs. John Bury of North Chicago, Johanna of Two Rivers,-and Ruth and Elvera, at home; three brothers, Charles of this city, Richard of Polar, Wis., Arthur of Antigo; three sisters, Mrs. C.
