Ethel M. "Mike" Raum, age 99, formerly of Kinzers, passed away at Tel Hai Retirement Community of Honey Brook on Tuesday, January 15, 2013. She was the wife of the late Ira G. Raum who passed away on March 2, 1977.
She was born in Christiana, PA, daughter of the late Abner & Ella Aument Boose. She was a member of Faith Community Church of Gap. She worked for Harold Eby of Kinzers. She was a graduate of the former Bart High School.
Surviving are 3 daughters: Jane Swartzentruber of McVeytown, PA, Sandy wife of Donald Miller of Intercourse, Lin Kilby of New Holland; 17 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren; sister: Helen B. "Dolly" Hirst of New Holland. She was preceded in death by 3 children: John K. Sr., Ronald, and Jennie L. Raum; 1 grandson: Donald C. Miller, Jr.; 1 great grandson: Brandon M. Hardy; great great grandson: Landon Scarbourgh; and 6 siblings: Elsie Myers, Beatrice Whitelock, Earl, Howard, Pat and John Boose.
Funeral service will take place from the Shivery Funeral Home, Inc., 111 Elizabeth Street, Christiana, PA on Saturday, January 19th, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Joe Tyson officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until time of service. Interment will be in Eby Cemetery.
