TAUNTON – Lillian G. (Nelson) Antunes, a longtime Taunton resident, died at Morton Hospital & Medical Center on June 17, 2011. She was 91. Born in Fall River, the daughter of the late Joseph and Minnie (Emmett) Nelson, she moved to Taunton as a child and attended Taunton schools. Mrs. Antunes was employed by the Rabideau Dental Laboratory Company, where she worked as a dental technician for many years, before retiring in 1992. She was a communicant of Annunciation of the Lord Church and a Marian Medal recipient. Survivors include a son, Robert J. Antunes of N. Attleboro; a daughter, Muriel Tigue and her husband Dennis of Jacksonville, Arkansas; six grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late Clifford Antunes. Her funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway on Wednesday, June 22nd at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at Annunciation of the Lord Church at 10 a.m. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 21st from 5 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Sr. Margretta Scholarship Fund, Our Lady of Lourdes School, 52 First St. Taunton, MA 02780, or to Beacon Hospice, Inc.
