Marvin P. Paulson, 59, Darlington, died Friday, March 8, 1996 at Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County in Darlington. He was born in Lamont Township, Lafayette County on May 26, 1936, the son of Marvin and Winifred (Lee) Paulson. He graduated from Darlington High School in 1956. On June 27, 1959, Marvin married Janice L. Olson at the Yellowstone Lutheran Church rural Argyle. He lived and farmed in Fayette Township for 4 years before moving south of Darlington in 1966, where they have farmed since. Marvin was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Darlington. He was a past member of the Black Hawk Saddle Club and Wisconsin Quarter Horse Racing Association. He loved horses and enjoyed watching his family participate in horse and rodeo activities.

Survivors include his wife, at home; one daughter, Marlene (Tom) Alexander, Dodgeville; two sons, Jeff and Greg Paulson, both of rural Darlington; one step-granddaughter, Karlie Alexander; one brother, Bill (Rhonda) Paulson, Monroe; four sisters, Marilyn (Jack) Cline, Fayette, Carol Hocking, Benton, Barb (Irv) Benson, Monticello and Shirley (Kenny) Rowley, Monroe.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother and sister in infancy.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 13 at Grace Lutheran Church, Darlington, with Rev. Lauren R. Ley officiating. Burial was in the Union Grove Cemetery, Darlington. Friends called Tuesday, March 12 from 4-9 p.m. at the Erickson Funeral Home in Darlington.
