He had been a longtime resident of Charlestown.
He was a member of the Charlestown American Legion and a past member of the Elks.
He enjoyed working in his vegetable and flower gardens, listening to country music and especially spending time with his granchildren and great granddaughters. He was an avid NASCAR fan and rooted for Ken Schrader.
He was predeceased by one brother Alfred "Sam" Bashaw and one sister Thelma.
The family includes his wife, Carol A (Blair) Bashaw of Charlestown whom he married on August 29, 1954; five daughters Allena Martin and her husband Roger of Alstead, NH, Debra Bemis and her husband Kenneth of Gordonville, VA, Peggy Bascom and her husband John, Marie Tenney and her husband Michael and Tammie Neilsen and her husband Larry all of Charlestown; eleven grandchildren; two great granddaughters; four sisters and two brothers Doris Blair of Springfield, Alice Borders of Washington, Wilma White, Charlotte Baldwin, Wilford Bashaw Jr and Richard Bashaw all from the Idaho area; and several nieces and nephews.
Burial will be in the Pine Crest Cemetery in Charlestown, NH.
