Dyrandee Kaye Adams, 46, died on April 14, 2011 at HospiceCare of the Piedmont, Hospice House in Greenwood, following a six-month battle with cancer. Born July 8, 1964, Kaye was the youngest child and only daughter of Sarah Bartley Adams and the late Adell Patterson Adams. She grew up in Saluda, where she was graduated from Saluda High School in 1982. In high school, she enjoyed and excelled at sports, especially softball and volleyball. She attended Lander University for five years before beginning her 20-year working career with Parke-Davis/Capsugel in Greenwood. Survivors include her mother of Saluda; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Arthur Dale Adams and Ann Ella of Orangeburg, Harry Patterson Adams and Claudia of Newark OH, and James Dean Adams and Marti of Saluda; three nephews; three nieces; a great-nephew; several aunts and uncles; and many cousins; as well as a good friend and caretaker, Ruth Tice and Ron Douglas, with whom she shared a house.
