Mrs. Quandt died in 1958. On Sept. 10, 1965 he was married to Mrs. Violet Carlson at Denison.
Mr. Quandt was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. He was a long time member of the St. John's Lutheran church in Charter Oak. The past several years he was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran church at Ute.
Mr. Quandt died November 21, 1968 at a Sioux City hospital after a lingering illness, having reached the age of 72.
He is survived by his wife, Violet, one daughter, Mrs. Henry (Colleen)Ketelsen and one son, Glen, both of Charter Oak, four stepsons, John, Joseph, and Norman Carlson, all of Ute and Albin Carlson of Mapleton, three stepdaughters, Mrs. Duane (Nilmah) Thompson and Mrs. Lyle (Garnet) Knutson, both of Ute and Mrs. Alice Thompson of Sioux City, three brothers, Charles of Charter Oak and Max and Herman of Denison, one sister, Mrs. Emma Schneider of Denison, 27 grandchildren, one great grandson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, three brothers, one sister, and two grandsons.
Funeral services were held Nov. 25 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran church in Ute. Rev. E.T.Lange officiated.
Internment was in the St. John's Cemetery in Charter Oak.
Pallbearers were Levern Quandt, Herbert Neumann, Norman Quandt, Melvin Quandt, Herbert Quandt, and Martin Schneider.
