He was a commercial contractor and business owner. He was a member of the Bent Tree County Club, Sarasota Board of Realtors and Alpha Delta Phi. Surviving are his wife, Barbara MC BRIDE BRITIGAN; mother, Dorothy R. BRITIGAN of Sarasota; sons, David R. Jr. of Monroe, MI Andrew L.W, of Richland, MI. Service were held August 10, 1997 at Bent Tree County Club.
