Chambersburg Hospital. She had been in failing health since May. Born April 27, 1927, in Broad Top, Pa., she was the daughter of the late William and Ida Mae (Lane) Fleck. She lived her early life in the Broad Top area. Mrs. McCleaf graduated from Robertsdale (Pa.) High School with the class of 1944. She and her husband, the late Guy C. “June” McCleaf, Jr., were married on Sept. 9, 1946, in Hagerstown, Md. They moved to their Pennersville Road address in 1953.Mr. McCleaf
died on Dec. 22, 1996.Mrs. McCleaf was a homemaker most of her life, however she did work as a machine operator for Knouse Foods in Biglerville, Pa., and Gardners, Pa. She attended services at the Greenstone Apostolic Church, near Fairfield, Pa., and enjoyed socializing with her family and friends.
She is survived by one daughter, Connie J. Bombardier, and her husband Edward of Waynesboro; five grandchildren, Daniel McCleaf Jr., Larry Geesaman Jr., Staci (Geesaman) Patterson, Traci Porr and Wendy Jaymes; 10 great-gandchildren; one sister, Ramona Whitfield of Roaring Springs, Pa.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Daniel G. "Dan" McCleaf Sr.; one brother, Gene Fleck; and her companion Glenn W. Snively Sr.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 5, 2012, in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro, with Pastor Mark Hosler officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Church Cemetery in Cascade, Md.
