Services for Mrs. Ruth Leola Peters, 82, of Monroe, Louisiana, will be at 10 am today at Kilpatrick Funeral Home chapel on Jackson Street in Monroe with the Revs. Dick Page and Gerald Roberts officiating. Burial will be in Monroe Memorial Park.

Mrs. Peters died Saturday at her residence after a short illness. She was a native of Pollock, LA and a member of the Central Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, William Isom Peters of Monroe; four daughters, Anita Louise Cole and Shirley Ruth swayze, both of Monroe, Lois Maxine Simpson of Zackery, LA and Glenda Joy Osborne of Swartz, LA; four sons, Billy Ray Peters and Delwyn Lloyd Peters, both of Jonesboro, LA, Donald Wayne Peters of Bridge City, Texas and Clifton Peters of Winnsboro, LA; two sisters, Joy Phelps and Polly Henderson, both of Monroe, two brothers, Justin Griffin of Kerrville, Texas and Johnnie Griffin of Shreveport, LA; 27 grandchildren; and 36 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be grandsons.

Ruth married William Isom Peters on Aug. 11, 1920 in Grant Parish, Louisiana. They were residents of the Fondale,Ouachita Parish, LA area, north of Bosco. Children: Cecil Artis Peters, Clifton Jarrell Peters, Lois Maxine Peters Simpson, Billy Ray Peters, Anita Louise Peters Cole, Shirley Ruth Peters Swayze, Donald Wayne Peters, Glenda Joy Peters Osborne and Delwyn Lloyd Peters.
