Anderson died Sunday, Aug. 5, at his home. He was born Dec. 22, 1920, in Duluth, Minn. He married Thelma Franse in 1948 in Long Beach, Calif. He worked in the civil service for the U.S. Navy at Pearl Harbor, Bremerton, Wash., and Long Beach, Calif. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church where he had been a trustee for the past 10 years. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 3280, Clovis, CCC Alumni Association and VASA, a Swedish American organization.
He is survived by his wife, Thelma, of the home; three sisters, Harriet, Agnes Bartig and Vera Eastman, all of Duluth; seven nieces and nephews and several cousins.
Casket bearers will be Joe D. Thrasher, Joel Young, Raydean Draper, Gene Curtis, Bob Davis and LaVern Metzger.
Honorary bearers will be senior citizens at Immanuel Lutheran Church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church.
