EDINBURG - Carl F. Ealey Sr., 63, of Edinburg, Ill., passed away on Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.
He was born on April 8, 1949, in Springfield, the son of Charles Homer and Zella Sample Ealey. Carl enjoyed farming and being outdoors.
He was preceded in death by his three brothers: Kenneth, Charles Melvin and Louis Ealey. Survived by his two sons, Carl F. Ealey, Jr., of Edinburg and Toby Ealey (Denise) of Georgia; a daughter, Carla Ealey Hall (David) of Georgia; seven grandchildren; three sisters: Mary Jane Ealey of Rochester, Ruth Ann Gabriel (Bruce) of Rochester, Brenda Buckles (Ed) of Mechanicsburg; four brothers: Don Ealey (Carol) of Springfield, Bob Ealey of Rochester, Paul Ealey (Jolene) of Springfield, Jerry Ealey (Cindy) of Edinburg; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013, from 10 a.m. until time of funeral services at 12 noon at the Wilson Park Funeral Home in Rochester. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park, Springfield.
