Jimmy G. Bennett, Sr. age 67, Nicholls, GA passed away on Sunday, June 20, 2010 at Coffee Regional Medical Center, Douglas, GA following an extended illness. Graveside services were held in New Hope Church Cemetery on Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. Survivors are: wife: Bobbinett Bennett, sons: Jimmy Gerald (Jacqueline) Bennett, Jr., Hazlehurst, GA, Patrick Wayne Bennett, Douglas, GA, Michael Paul Bennett, Nicholls, GA; daughter, Jerri Lynn Forrest, Eastman, GA; brothers: Dobbie Bennett and Jackie Bennett, Douglas, GA; sisters: Naomi Carver, Toledo, OH, Betty Jean Harrell, Valdosta, GA and six grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 22, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Sims Funeral Home. Sims Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
