On July 6, 1906, he was united in marriage to Anna Jensen and to this union were born six children: 4 sons and 2 daughters. He was preceded in death by his wife Anna in 1952; two son, Elmer in 1923 and Orlo who died in the service of his country in 1944; and two sisters, Olivia, Mrs. Hans Pedersen of Bornholm, Denmark in January, 1960; and Mary, Mrs. Jens Jensen of Marion in 1920.
He is survived by two sons; Raymond of Minneapolis, Minn.; Irvin of Marion; two daughters, Edith, Mrs. Leonard Weight of Chino, Calif.; and Elmira, Mrs. Ivan Wooderson of Lawrence, Kansas; a foster daughter, Mrs. Edmund Baertsch of Marion; 14 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Sinius of Bornholm, Denmark.
Mr. Anderson was a member of the Marion Lutheran Church for over half a century, joining shortly after the congregation was formed.
He passed away on the morning of April 5 at the age of 81 years, 3 months, and 24 days.
Funeral services were held from the Marion Lutheran Church with Rev. Arne Carlson officiating, on April 8 at 2 p.m. Music was by Carl Opdahl and Mrs. Dean McInnes. Honorary pallbearers were' Connie Arduser, Oscar Leidall, Carl Anderson, Art Knudson, Gregor Pedersen, Henry Conrad. Active pallbearers were Harry Pedersen, George Lillehoff, Albert Knudsen, Thorwald Knutson, Donald Olson, Roy Krenz.
