L. SMELLEY DIES, AGE 58
Funeral services for Lemmie Smelley, 58, of Cottondale, were to be held at 3 p.m. today from the Cottondale Methodist Church with the Rev. J. W. Goins and the Rev. C. H. Rice officiating. Burial will be in Tuscaloosa Memorial Park by Jones and Spigener.
Mr. Smelley died Sunday at his home.
Surviving are his widow; two sons, J. O. Smelley, Tuscaloosa and Bert Smelley, Cottondale; two daughters, Mrs. O. T. Boatner, Cottondale and Mrs. Foy McCraw, Montgomery; five grandchildren; and two sisters, Miss Lilly Smelley and Miss Hattie Smelley, Cottondale.
Active pallbearers were to be P. W. Heron, L. D. Chapman, Jim Jones, Tilrow Henson, T. P. Jennings, and Ormand Morrison.
