Lifelong resident of Mishawaka, Indiana, Mr. Arata was the owner/operator of Arata Brothers Hardware Store for 19 years and Robo Car Washes in South Bend and Mishawaka for 7 years. He was a veteran of WW II, a member of St. Monica's Catholic Church, VFW Post 360, Knights of Columbus, Granger, and a volunteer at St. Joseph Hospital.
He was survived by his wife Willedean, whom he married in 1947, and two daughters.
