Willet Pearman Dead
Willet L. Pearman died at his home, five and a half miles south of Dana, last Sunday at noon. He was only sick three hours. While in the yard near his home he was stricken with apoplexy. Two shocks had come to him some sixteen months before.

He was one of the eleven children of Benjamin Pearman and Adah Combs Pearman. Three brothers and three sisters are now living. He was born in this township May 14, 1859. His age at the time of death was 52 years, 6 months and 19 days.

January 2, 1898, he was joined in marriage to Mary J. Watson. Five children were born to them. One died in infancy. Three girls and a boy are living. These with the devoted wife and a large number of neighbors and friends mourn his death.

He was a kind friend and neighbor. Ready always to lend a helping hand to those in need. In his home he was an affectionate husband and father. The children were his delight. Only the same day he was stricken he had been singing familiar hymns while the eldest daughter accompanied him on the piano.

He had seemingly recovered from the effects of the other attacks of paralysis. After the third one he expressed himself as willing to die and not afraid.

Wednesday forenoon after a brief service at the home the funeral party went to the Bono church, where the paster, Rev. Beebee, preached the funeral sermon. Beside the body of his little babe in the Bono cemetery he was laid to rest.
