Funeral services for Mrs. Carolina Estella Higgins, age 80, of the Coldwater community who died in the Lincoln County Hospital Friday after a long illness, were conducted Saturday in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home, with the Rev. G. D. Marion and the Rev. Eugene Fleming officiating. Burial was in Riverview Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Higgins was a member of the Methodist Church, a native of Lauderdale County, Alabama, and the daughter of the late James Belk and Isabell Waits Carson. Her husband, T. C. Higgins, died in 1962.

Survivors include six daughters, Mrs. Ivan Fisher, Michie, Tennessee, Mrs. James Paulk, Savannah, Tennessee, Mrs. Roy Howell, Memphis, Tennessee, Mrs. William Smith, Mrs. Rawls Marshall, and Miss Ethel Higgins, all of Fayetteville; five sons, Frank Higgins, Miley Higgins, and Allen Higgins, all of Fayetteville, G. W. Higgins, Savannah, Tennessee, and Robert Higgins, Petersburg, Tennessee; one sister, Mrs. Lee Anna Curry, Waterloo, Alabama; 27 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
