William Edwin Stacy was a farmer and resided near the Hopewell Church in the 12th District of Cannon County, TN., south of Bradyville. After his death,his widow, Amanda, lived with her daughter, Mattie Jane Spry, near Hollow
Springs (Cannon Co.,TN). William Edwin and Amanda had twelve children; seven survived. On August 18, 1984, many of the descendants of those seven gathered at Gilley Hill Churchyard near Hollow Springs, TN for the unveiling of a memorial to their memories.
