Dad was Andrew and mom was Beret, both from Norway. He was married to Palma around 1925. They had two daughters, Helen and Joan.

Funeral Rites Slated for Carl Acker, 76

Funeral services are planned Saturday afternoon for Carl Acker, 76 of Rt. 2, Barron, who died Wednesday at the Cumberland hospital. Rev. C.P. Thronson will officiate at the 1:30 p.m. rites at the First Lutheran church in Barron. Burial will be in Wayside cemetery there.

Mr. Acker, a farmer in the town of Maple Grove for 38 years, was born July 7, 1894 in the town of Arland. He was married in Barron in 1924 to the former Palma Huset, who survives him. He was a member of the Pure Milk assn. and served on the board of trustees at the First Lutheran church for many years.

Other survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Helen Erickson of Cumberland and Joan Acker of Minneapolis; three grandchildren; and a brother, John, of Los Angeles.

Visitation will be Friday afternoon and evening at the Rausch-Rockman funeral home in Barron.
