Lawson services
TIPTON, Ind. - Services for Edith Mayme Carter Lawson, 83, Miller's Merry Manor, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Porter Funeral Home. The Rev. Harvey Herring will officiate.
Burial will be in Albright Cemetery near Kokomo. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the mortuary.
Lawson died at 10:17 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 16, 1988, at Tipton County Memorial Hospital.
She was born Jan. 13, 1905, in Kokomo, a daughter of Jud Wesley and Estessa (Watson) Alexander. In December 1971 she married Ebert "Tom" Lawson, who died in April 1984.
She was a member of American War Mothers and was retired from Tipton County Memorial Hospital.
Surviving are two sons, Max Leon Carter of Cicero and Donald Everet Carter of Kingwood, Texas; two daughters, Mary Joan Edwards and Betty Lou Spivey, both of Tipton; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
