Surrounded by her eight loving children, Daisy Mae Petersen, passed from this life to eternity on July 5, 2008. Mom went home to be with the Lord, not because of something she did, but rather of what Jesus did on Calvary. Mom was born January 31, 1922 in Minerva, Ohio, daughter to the late Harkless and Nellie (Knapman) Pryor.
She was retired from the Monarch Teledyne Rubber Company following 23 years of service. She enjoyed gardening and spending as much time as she could with her loving family.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Marvin Waggoner; second husband, Jack Petersen; one sister; eight brothers, grandson, John Tedrick Jr. and her beloved canine companion, Chelsea.
Special thanks to the staff at Hennis Care Center in Bolivar. The Care Mom received there was absolutely outstanding.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at the Reed Funeral Home Canton Chapel with Pastor Thomas Shank Jr. officiating.. Interment will be in Sandy Valley Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 6-9p.m. in the funeral home.
Just Think of It!
Think of stepping on shore
And finding it Heaven,
Of taking hold of a hand
And finding it God's hand,
Of breathing a new air
And finding it celestial air,
Of feeling invigorated
And finding it immortality,
Of passing from storm and tempest
To perfect calm,
Of waking and knowing
That I am home!
